Life After Hate is the only organization offering long-term case management, group meetings, educational resources, and professional referrals for individuals and families dealing with hateful ideology, ideation of harm, or planned acts of harm in their communities.
We serve people involved in the justice system and those rebuilding their lives after release. Our ExitUSATM programming draws on fifteen years of fieldwork and co-researched best practices, addressing each participant’s needs with time, care, compassion, and skilled expertise. Every case we take on is free to participants—we refuse to create barriers between people and the help they need.
Why This Matters
Our tagline is compassion with accountability. Life After Hate proves that people don’t have to be defined by their worst moments forever—change is possible with the right support. Our co-founders believed this so deeply they built an organization that has been a source of hope for fourteen years.
Without this work, people at risk have nowhere to turn and return to their communities with no support.
How We Know It Works
These *fictional* examples reflect patterns we see regularly:
- A teen writing a manifesto glorifying harm was referred to our program and is now reducing harmful thoughts.
- Someone worried about their partner joined our family and friends group and no longer feels helpless or alone.
- We work with minors and their families, connecting them to mental health professionals trained in our approach who understand the specific risks our participants face.
Our Collective Destination
Life After Hate’s Exit programming gives people hope. With your support, we can expand our capacity to serve court-mandated and juvenile participants who need extra time and resources. Your contribution delivers best-in-class care and helps build a safer society for everyone.
The cost of providing this programming may seem high, but the cost of inaction—of allowing ideologically driven hatred to grow unchecked—is far higher. This work is an investment in safer families and communities for everyone connected to our participants.
If you want to join us in this effort, now is a critical time to donate to ensure we can continue this work.
