Life After Hate is proud to announce that we have been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Wallenberg Tribute, an honor that recognizes organizations embodying the courageous values demonstrated by Raoul Wallenberg.
During the award ceremony, attendees learned how our mission reflects the principles celebrated through this tribute. Our work exemplifies Wallenberg’s legacy by reaching into communities for their benefit and for the protection of those who would otherwise become targets of hate.
Raoul Wallenberg risked everything to save lives during one of history’s darkest periods. Today, Life After Hate carries forward that spirit of courage by creating pathways out of hate and intervening before harm occurs—work that requires us to meet people in their most difficult moments and believe in their capacity for transformation.
A Statement from Our Co-Executive Directors:
“We are grateful to be the recipients of the 2025 Wallenberg Tribute. Life After Hate has consistently shown courage in the most difficult of times, this being one of them in our country’s history. To be acknowledged for this work is indeed a profound honor.”
This recognition affirms what we’ve known for fifteen years: compassion with accountability can transform lives and strengthen communities. As we face ongoing challenges, including recent federal funding cuts, this honor reminds us why our work matters and inspires us to continue reaching every person who needs us.
To everyone who has supported Life After Hate—through donations, partnership, or simply believing in second chances—thank you. This award belongs to all of us.
