#GivingTuesdayNow — Your help is critical to stop the spread of violent extremism

Life After Hate is helping more people than ever before leave white supremacy groups. With your support, we've expanded our flagship intervention program—ExitUSA. Today we need your help again.

Right now we’re experiencing unprecedented levels of isolation and uncertainty. The conditions are ripe for online recruitment because the violent far-right is trained to exploit vulnerabilities and grievances.

Our work has never been more critical.

The COVID-19 crisis will devastate charities across the country. Hundreds are expected to shutter in the next two years alone. Still, we are in the midst of the single-largest expansion of ExitUSA. That ramping up began in 2019 and is gaining full steam despite the coronavirus outbreak.

We knew that we could not afford to cut back on ExitUSA at such a critical moment. Many of you committed to micro and recurring donations at a time that was difficult to give. If you can give right now, your support would go a long way in protecting people who are most at risk of getting pulled into white supremacy groups.

Since Charlottesville, we’ve received more than 360 requests for help from individuals and families. That’s more than three-and-a-half times the number of people we helped in the six years prior. Sadly, far-right attacks across the world have increased by 320 percent over the past five years.

We’re learning more about how people get involved with white supremacist groups, particularly the different social and psychological reasons. We use this insight to help people disengage and exit and it’s helping us make the world a safer place.

Thank you for helping create and sustain our community.
